A great day out in Findhorn!
The Artists’ Trail in the Park brings together Findhorn-based artists, two watercolour painters, a potter, and a weaver. All the artists open their studios for craft demonstrations and sales throughout the year. The Moray Art Centre, also a member of the Trail, offers major local and international art exhibitions as well as art education through its programme of workshops & classes.
The Artists’ Trail offers a complete Day Out experience. During your tour of the Park, visit the Blue Angel Café adjoining the Universal Hall, for teas, coffees, snacks, and lunches. The Phoenix Stores is one of the UK’s best stocked organic food shops as well as selling books, gifts, music, and crafts including some of the work of the trail artists. The Universal Hall hosts a year round programme of music, theatre, film and dance from around the world. You could combine an event with the Artists’ Trail. Pick up a Good Gig Guide for coming events.
Findhorn village is a very popular destination for local people and tourists with its beautiful location and choice of attractions including pubs, restaurants, and Heritage Centre. A short walk will bring you to superb beaches and a delightful bay. Enjoy the fresh air, the birds, and the tranquility. Perhaps sail on the bay or just sit and watch the world go by. If you want to stay on, the area offers two Caravan Parks and many B&B’s in the Park and in the Village.
